LAFFIN, Reginald Archibald "Reg" - 74, Moose Brook, passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on August 14, 2013. Born in Moose Brook, he was a son of the late Robert and Margaret Laffin. Reg worked in construction for a short period in his life; he drove a truck for Halidays, also drove a horse for his father and worked in the woods. He worked repairing and installing furnaces for 49 years. Since 1981 he was self employed with his own heating business. His real passion was being on his tractors, gardening, haying, being in the woods and being a husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife Dianne, sons Glenn (Krista) Laffin, Moose Brook; Greg (Carol) Laffin, Dawson Creek, BC; granddaughter Nicolle (Floyd Geser) Laffin, Moose Brook; brothers Albert (Verna) Laffin, Moose Brook; Ralph Laffin, Burlington; and sister Cora Thomas, Upper Rawdon; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Leroy, Emmerson, Armond, Raymond, Nathan, Lewis and Rodney in infancy, sister Janie MacAskill. Visitation 7-9pm, Friday in the Moose Brook Chapel, Moose Brook from where funeral service will be held 2pm, Saturday, August 17, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating.
