The dedicated staff of Ettinger Funeral Home is here to help families plan meaningful funeral ceremonies for their loved ones. Offering a full range of services, from simple cremations to more traditional funerals, we are here to professionally assist you and to carry out your wishes. Alan MacLeod Jr. and Alan MacLeod Sr., lead our firm with over 70 years of combined experience in the funeral service profession and are assisted by a helpful, talented staff.

We are able to serve our clients in East Hants and surrounding area from two conveniently placed locations. The Shubenacadie facility is at 2812 Highway 2 and our new Elmsdale location is situated next to the Elmsdale Legion at 860 Highway 2. Our place in Shubenacadie seats 220 in the chapel and receptions can be held following services. The Elmsdale facility is a smaller venue, but will accommodate up to 100 guests during a life celebration. It has a full kitchen and can easily host receptions following services.

We cooperate with all churches, community halls and clergy in the area to serve client families. We offer pre-planning services, as well as monuments. You will benefit from our professionalism and many years of experience in the funeral industry. We are proud to be a locally owned funeral and cremation service provider.
