McDONALD, Walter James Sr. 56, Indian Brook, passed away November 8, 2013 at home. Born in Boston, Massachusetts. he was a son of the late Alexander Sr. and Mary Ellen (Paul) McDonald. Walter was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a great storyteller and was always there to help when needed. He is survived by son Walter Jr, brothers, Clarence, Mark, sisters, Lena (Joe) Politano, Colleen (Steve) Knockwood, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Shirley Julian, brothers, Sandy Jr., Jackie, Duncan, Roy. Visitation will be held at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie on Sunday, November 10th from 7-9pm and Monday, November 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will take place Tuesday, November 12th at 2pm in St. Kateri Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Fr. Tom Kurudeepan, OMI officiating.
