Obituary of Diane Rushton

RUSHTON, Beatrice “Diane” – age 76 of Lantz, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2022 in Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth.  Born in Cooks Brook, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Beatrice (Hillier) Brown.

Diane was a dedicated Avon rep for many years. She had a great love for cooking, baking and gardening. Diane always had a trusty companion by her side; she was never without a dog in her life. She always enjoyed listening to country music and when her husband, Laurie, was still alive they spent a lot of time at their camp. Diane took on a lot of roles and wore many hats during her life. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Diane is survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen Isenor, Nancy (Al) Clair, Betty (Tom) Shute, Linda Duffey, Marion Snow, Carolyn (Pat) Shreenan; brothers, Laurie (Millie), Dan (Marilyn), Bruce (Sue), Calvin (Valerie); many nieces and nephews; several in-laws; her beloved dog, Abbe.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Laurie; brothers, Aubrey, Monty, Bob; sister, Kaye.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No service by request.
