Obituary of Burton Cecil Joyce

JOYCE, Burton Cecil  - age 88, of Milford/Lantz passed away peacefully on March 30, 2022  after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Brookfield he was a son of the late Cecil and Edith (Archibald) Joyce.

Burton was a long time employee of Shaw Resources, formerly NS Sand and Gravel from where he retired. For his work with the Lions he was made an Honorary Life member of the Milford Club. He loved fishing, hunting and working in the woods.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie of 68 years; sons Les (Lori), Steven (Brenda); grandchildren, Morgan (Mike), Mandy (Fabian), John (Ashley), Jenna (Cory); great grandchildren, Hayden, Kayden and Jaxon; brother Edson (Betty); several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sons, Graham and Jeffrey.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation or funeral by request. A private graveside service in Brookside Cemetery.
