I just found out about Linda’s passing yesterday and am heartbroken. Linda’s and my paths crossed early in the community and we often met and chatted with joy. We had the opportunity to work together at the Halifax County Exhibition and the 50 Mile Yard sale on the Exhibition grounds. She always had a smile on her face and wonderful sense of humour. We had some great laughs. She and her hard work with her Creations were so looked forward to at the In Hants Craft Market in November. Even when I could no longer attend I looked forward to having some that my daughter would purchase. I was so grateful to her when she gave a wonderful home to my lovebirds and I remember her telling me how the little yellow one learned to say ‘I’m home.’ after hearing her say it so often when she came through the door. I will cherish her in my memories always.
My deep condolences to her family.
With love,
Mary Dexter, Princeton, BC.

I first met Linda way back at the Lantz elementary school, she was there every day with a helping hand, and then later her preserves were amazing. I know you will all miss her very much. May she rest in peace

Linda’s celebration of life was heartwarming and it is obvious she will be greatly missed by many. The shared memories were beautiful; we could feel the love in each word. Our condolences to the family. You are in our thoughts. We will remember Linda every Christmas when we hang one of her angels on the tree. Now she is among them. Love Brian and Sherry.

Linda and I are cousins and we've known each other all our lives. We did not always spend much time together due to life circumstances but I always enjoyed her company. She always knew how to make others laugh, she was curious about others and the world and she was an extremely talented craftsperson. You'll be missed by many cuz. Love you now and forever. Thank you Linda for opening my eyes to beauty, I did not always see and understand.
Linda
A woman of many talents,
Caring, kind and warm
A mother, a winner, a sibling,
A lighthouse in a storm.
When you got to know Linda,
You knew you became part,
Of someone very special,
Someone that could warm a forgotten heart
Linda and Russ showed me
Understanding without judgement
A lesson I follow today
An important life lesson to me they both sent
Rise up Linda, you beautiful soul,
Your love and kindness never forgotten
A pleasure to have met and known you
A seed planted in me that made my broken parts soften

I met Linda in Cornwallis during boot camp. She was a caring friend that cared for many things. She loved to see people smile, made her happy. She experienced many tasks during her life from caring for people, canning several items that one would never think of and was amazing at it. While I had heart surgery, she did some chow in Russel’s apartment without hésitation. She cared for what she did and did it with pride. Linda, you will be missed by many. An angel got its wings without any doubt. May you rest in peace.
