Obituary of Merlyn Harley Miller
MILLER, Merlyn Harley – age 83 of East Noel, passed away on August 4th, 2023, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born on January 14th, 1940, in North Noel Road, he was a son of the late Harold and Reita (White) Miller.
Merlyn spent all of his working years around vehicles whether it be mechanical, autobody, wheeling and dealing in auto sales or building and racing race cars. He enjoyed camping with his grandchildren and loved hosting family gatherings. Merlyn was an avid NASCAR fan and passionate about watching his Blue Jays and Maple Leafs games.
Merlyn is survived by his loving companion, Bonnie McLellan; sons, Vaughn (Juli) and Shawn (Lynn); stepdaughters, Candice and Vicki; grandchildren, Justin, Morgan, Holly, Stephanie, Britney, Hanna; great grandson, Hudson; furry buddy, Pasquel; sisters, Debra Dalrymple, Susan Miller; brothers, Thomas (Frances), Stanley (Wanda) and Randall (Shirley).
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Caroline White and Gwen MacPhee; brothers, Vance, Ronald and Herbert; daughters, Krista and Michele.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
