Obituary of Alice Sheridan

SHERIDAN, Alice Marie - 92, Truro, formerly of South Maitland, Hants County, passed away peacefully on June 23rd in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Robinson's Corner, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Rachel (McInnes) Zinck. Alice was an animal lover, with a true passion for horses and ponies, which she raised and trained for saddle and wagon. She was known for her excellent work ethic, which was demonstrated in her maintenance of the lawns, hayfields and flower gardens on her property in South Maitland. Survived by daughter Marie (Robert) Ewing, Maitland; granddaughters Angela (Artie) MacMaster, Bible Hill; Tina (Marc) MacMillan, Glenholme; great grandchildren Seanna (James) Rose, North River; Kayla MacMaster, Truro; Hailey, Dylan and Emma MacMillan, Glenholme; great great granddaughters Madison and Leah Rose, North River; longtime friend Garfield Roberts, Sackville; sister Lillian Harvey, Parrsboro; sister-in-law Hilda Zinck, Chester; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Greg Sheridan, brothers Arthur, Fred, Peter, Jim, George and Jack in fancy, sisters Fanny and Margaret, granddaughter Roberta Ewing. Funeral service will be held 11am Friday June 27, 2014 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Father Charles J. Donovan O.M.I officiating. A reception will held in the funeral home reception area. Interment will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Chapel Hill, Maitland.
