There are lots of things that I remember about dad and most of them have to do with our time "down home". I can remember going down on a Friday night and stopping just before we got to nan and grampy's so that he could hide his box of beer in the culvert for the weekend. I remember the time we were out picking apples behind nan and grampy's house and dad came upon "the spider". I was only 8 or 9 and he sent me down to the house to get a gun. I came back up with a hand gun in one hand and bullets in the other. Dad quickly took care of the spider. I'm pretty sure this is where my fear of spiders stems from. Thanks Dad. :). And I can remember going down Lands Road with dad sitting in the dump of the "old beater". We would go to pick lady slippers and when we got back by one of the blueberry fields he would stop so that we could get inside the truck, he would drive up to the little path that was covered in by tree branches and he would yell "bush wackin" and drive through the path while the branches beat off the front and side of the truck. We would all laugh and my sister and I would ask to go again so he would turn around and start all over again. Thanks for all the great memories dad.

I can remember when I was younger, dad was trying to drive a 4-wheeler up ramps onto the back of his truck, getting ready to go down home for the weekend. Well, he gave it a bit too much gas and ended up putting the 4-wheeler through the back window of his truck! Im pretty sure there was a bit of cursing on his part and alot of laughing on our part! Im not sure if we ever ended up going down home that weekend or not, but dad did get a nice new window for his truck!

I remember Peter coming home from work one afternoon with a large bandage on his head.I asked him what happened and he said he lifted his head up too quick and smashed his head on the lift he had a car on.Five stitches later it was a pretty good wound. But as they say the story is not overUnbeknown to be it was a few weeks later that I found out the true story behind his wound. He was working on a car and seen a really nice set of legs moving past the bay window and he couldnt get a good look at the rest of the legs without looking up higher. The shame of it for him was he didnt get to see what was above the legs and got a good gash to boot .He was more careful in his looking up after that Some of your funnier moments thatk you for them Peter Always remembered Jan
