Obituary of Margaret Tanner

TANNER, Margaret McCurdy- age 94, passed away at Melville Gardens, Halifax, NS on August 15, 2014. Born in Halifax October 16, 1919, she is survived by daughters, Marlene (Jerome) MacLellan, Stillwater Lake, NS; Shirley (Allan) Schnare, Sambro, NS; June Tanner, Halifax; son, Raye (Marilyn) Tanner, Atikoken, ON; 13 grandchildren; special granddaughter, Robyn; several great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Guy; son, Vernon; daughter, Janet (at birth); and one grandchild, Vernon, Jr. There will be no visitation. Funeral service Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church, 173 Old Sambro Road, Spryfield, Rev. Ellen Wilson officiating. There will be a private burial at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in Margaret's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
