Obituary of Donald Parker

PARKER, Donald E. Urbania, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Shubenacadie on July 24th , 1936 he was the son of the late Earl and Merle (Ryan) Parker. Donnie enjoyed gardening with his tractor. Playing 45's and cribbage sometimes with his former employees at Shaw's Brick Plant where he had been employed for over 40 years as a stationary engineer. He is survived by his daughters Leila (Rob) Larmand, Petatawa; Donna Elias, Urbania; son Allen, Urbania; grandchildren Brandon, Peace River; Brittany (Shawn) Knox, Regina; Sarah, Stacey and Michael, Calgary; Catlin, Truro; Haley, Urbania; great grandchildren Brennen, Alyssa, Austin, Tristan, Aleah, Emmett and Carter. He will also be missed by his loyal companion "Odie". Donald was predeceased by his wife Jeanne (DeWolfe), sisters Pauline and Lela. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will held 2pm, Friday at South Maitland United Church Cemetery, Rev. David LeBlanc officiating.
