DOUTHWRIGHT, Bernard Joseph - 61, Lantz, passed away at home on October 6, 2014. Born in Enfield, he was a son of the late Whitney and Rita (Berg) Douthwright. Bernard loved being with his family and his grandchildren were the joys of his life. He enjoyed fishing. He will be sadly missed by his wife Cindy, sons Michael (Melissa), and Grant; grandchildren Alivia and Kyliee; brothers Alfred, David, Derek (Patty) and Roger; sisters Yvonne Lightle, Sylvia (Myles) Ellingwood, Mary (Russell) Higgins, Janet (Dale) Whitenect, Eileen (James) Phalen, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Robert. A visitation will be held 6-8pm, Thursday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Funeral service 11 am, Friday October 10, in St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, Father Michael Walsh officiating. Interment in St. Bernard's Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Royal Canadian Legion, Enfield following the service. Donations in memory of Bernard may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
