SPARES (MOULTON), Dorothy Irene, age 96, of Milford Station, passed away Friday October 31, 2014 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Lanse a Leau, NL, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Hodder) Moulton. Dorothy was a survivor of a Tsunami that caused a disaster in her Newfoundland hometown in in 1929. She was a resident of Milford Station since immigrating to Canada from Newfoundland over 75 years ago. She is survived by her children Mary (Edward) Cole, Lantz; Joan (Carl) Skinner, Milford; Earle (Mellody), Tiger Lily, AB, Sheila (Tony) Lane, Milford, Carl "Dewey" (Margaret), Shubenacadie; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, and being the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by brothers, Jack, Captain Ernest, Capt. Robert, William and Archibald; sisters Bertha Usher, Margaret Lawrence, Elizabeth Burfitt and an infant sister, Laura. Her remains will rest in the Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from 6-9pm Tuesday. The funeral will be held 2pm Wednesday at the funeral home, Lori Crocker DM officiating. (At the request of the family we ask that attendees refrain from wearing scents while at the funeral home) The burial will follow at the Brookside Cemetery, Mill Village.
