FROSST, Iva Kathaleen (nee Ashley), 93 of Halifax, formerly of Dutch Settlement NS. Our Mom passed away peacefully on the 17 May 2013 at Northwood Centre. Born in Dutch Settlement on 4 September 1919, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ida Jane Ashley. Mom was a hard worker all her life, as a mother and wife and retired from the Anglican Diocesan Centre in 1991 where she was a resident employee for over 20 years. No matter where she lived over the years, her heart always took her back up on the hill, crossing the old brook and visiting the back pastures on the farm where she spent her childhood in her beloved Dutch Settlement. She is survived by son Bob (Lee) Frosst, Red Deer Alberta, eldest daughter Melba (Gene) Deluney, Aylesford Lake, youngest daughter Betty June (Junie) and Ralph Rushton, Kingston, Ontario, Brother Hardy (Margie), Meadowvale Road, Annapolis Valley and Sister Jean Kennedy of Wolfville, NS - 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bob (1974), brothers Earle, Monson, Wilfrid, Murray, George, Ray, Donald and Lloyd and sisters Freda and Marjorie and Grand Daughter Sandi. Respecting Mom's wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral and Celebration of Holy Communion will be held on Wednesday Morning, 22 May 2013 at 11 o'clock at St Georges Anglican Church in Dutch Settlement, Rev. Canon David Fletcher and Rev. Patty McKenna officiating. Reception to be held following service in Church Hall - with Internment at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens following reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. George's Church Cemetery Fund or a charity of choice.
