WOODMAN, (CASEY) ( WITHROW), Margaret, passed away at home May 15, 2013, surrounded by her family. Born in Centre Rawdon on October 29, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Gladys (Custance) Casey. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt and teacher. Margaret was a graduate of Provincial Normal College. She was a member of the Shubenacadie United Church, actively involved in C.G.I.T. as a Leader, Sunday School Superintendant, Elder and U.C.W. life member. Community activities included Canadian Cancer Society, East Hants Historical Society, Tim Smith Museum, Shumilacke Community Food Bank. She was a long time canvasser for the Cancer Society and the Kidney Foundation. Margaret was the first woman president of U.C.C.M.A. (Berwick Camp). She is survived by her second husband Earl Woodman, daughter Susan MacDonald, Stewiacke; sons Michael (Debbie) Withrow, Lantz; and Robert (Gela) Withrow, Victoria, BC; step daughter Michelle LaFosse, Bedford; step son Michael (JoAnne) Woodman, Edmonton, Alta.; 11 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; special niece Marden (Andy) Hewitt, Burlington, ON; special nephew Jamie (Dodie) Casey, Centre Rawdon; many other special nieces and nephews; sister Barbara "Bobby" (Keith) McLean; brothers Keith (Rae) Casey, Centre Burlington; Norman (Kaye) Casey, Upper Rawdon; Michael (May) Casey, Centre Rawdon. She was predeceased by her first husband Holmes Withrow, brother Dennis Casey and sister-in-law Mary Casey. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Funeral service 2pm, Sunday May 19, 2013 in the Shubenacadie United Church, Rev. Martin Reid officiating. Family interment in Brookside cemetery, Mill Village.
