Bob was a man who shared his time and talents with many, and will be missed by all who knew him. I especially appreciated his support during the transition of the E.H. Horne School from an active school in Enfield, to a community building under the direction of E.H. Horne School Preservation Society. His love of community and heritage was very evident in the many activities he participated in; but always first priority was his family. I was proud to call him friend. Sincerely, Michelle (McKeen)White

Dear Aunt Rhoda and Family, First of all I'd like to start by saying what a great guy Uncle Bob was. He'd always greet me with a big smile and a Hi Freddie! I think he's the only one to call me Freddie now that I think of it! I'm thankful to have been a nephew because it gave me a chance to know him and heck I was even a "room mate" for 8 months during my first year of University thanks to his and your generosity. I've never heard a bad thing about him and knew surveyors who had a lot of respect for him. I don't even remember him getting into trouble around the house, although he might have received the occasional rolling eye or two ;). It's not like he ever burned a pot holder or melted a mat or anything.... Ha ha ha. Uncle Bob sure loved to laugh. I remember him telling me about a story he heard on the radio that made him laugh so hard he had to pull over. I remember another story when he talked about driving in an old car full of friends and pointing out that there was a tire bouncing along the road only to have their car swerve all over the road seconds later! I remember thinking of taking Architecture and taking engineering courses along the way because I found them interesting. (thanks for the hours of tutoring, Chris) I remember his encouragement of engineering and advice of "there are a lot of starving architects out there". As we know the rest is history on that subject. Anyway, I hope this message brings a smile or two and fond memories. He was a great guy, well liked, a friend of many including the church, and judging by his poem he was at peace with things. Very hard to beat that. Love Freddie and family (Kim, Bailey, Kyle and Natalie).

Dear Rhoda and family... I remember Bob fondly, particularly from the time he hired me to work at Wreck Cove. Although the obituary doesn't specifically mention, Bob was considered the Boss of that project. I recall that he was especially kind and yet very respected by everyone there. It was my first surveying job and he made it an excellent experience.
