So sorry to hear of Laurie’s passing. We loved our years of camping in PEI with Laurie and Audrey. The first time we visited Laurie and Audrey at their home in NS, Laurie took us on a tour of his memories of where he first met Audrey, their first date, and even his childhood home area. Such a sweet couple, and now they are together again. Love & hugs to the family, Tim & Bonnie Ceterski

Wow, how I will miss this man ! Many times in the summer I would drive by and he would wave. I'd drop in and we'd sit and talk about his old cars/trucks, Elmsdale history and the oil business. I spent many a happy hour with this fine older gentleman. He was truly one of the finest.
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family.

I & my husband had the distinct pleasure of meeting Mr.Lauri last summer when he & I assisted in catching & returning a lost black cat from Ontario that jumped out at the next door fast food.restaurant...she stayed on his property for a full week looking & waiting for her mom to find her...when Mr.Laurie found out from me that this cat was not a stray cat but a lost cat ( he told me that he taught his grandchildren to not feed strays)...when he heard it was lost it was hands on that his & my little project began & he allowed me to bring my husband & anyone I needed to help put a live trap in his open garage & then he watched waited & called just to let me know her status....she's their near the trap under my car he would say.....7am Saturday Mr. Laurie called & he says that we had "caught a cat."..it only took us less than a day to catch her & get her home to her frantic mom ...I share this story with deep regret & sorrow to hear that this wonderfully kind & gentle soul has left all of you in this life he loved so dearly...in only a few days your father left me with an unforgetable memory & I am so saddened...I pray for you all & am so grateful to have met even briefly this incredible man you call Dad...grandad...friend...family... our deepest condolence... Heather,
So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He is now with your Mom. It's hard for a daughter to lose their Dad, I know because mine has been gone for 16 years & it seems like yesterday. Remembering the good times, laughter, & stories will help ease the pain. Your neighbors, family, & friends will help you through this sad time. Just remember your Mom & Dad are now your "Angel's" who will be with you in spirit. Take care of each other as your Mom & Dad would want you too.
