My deepest sympathy,
I worked with Phil at IMP Aerostructures and it was my pleasure. Phil was always smiling and was a kind man. I was in hospital in Halifax years ago having kidney surgery and he had only been at IMP for a short time. I was not in great shape , but he came to see me and I want you all to know that little visit meant the world to me. We also socialized outside work, played pool on Tuesday nights. He was a good man, my heart goes out to Haley and Anne take care, I am sending love from everyone that he knew at IMP Amherst.

My brother Phil. As you can see at an early he love the outdoors and snow. He was a cheeky chap always getting up to mischief. He grew up into a wonderful husband to Anne and a doting father to Haley. Phil may have gone but he will never be forgotten, so many happy memories, building dens out of straw bales, jumping out of the bedroom window when we were grounded in coxley ( it's ok it was a bungalow). Visiting him in Amhurst and shubenachie. Staying at the cottage watching the shooting stars, looking for fools gold on the beach and Peggy's Cove. Rest in peace Phil love Penny xxx

It was with enormous sadness that I learned of Phil's passing this weekend. Although we shared a very similar background, and took the same route to end up in Nova Scotia working together, and were even the same age, it seems so strange to comprehend that he is no longer with us. I will always remember how honest and straight to the point he could be and what a love he had for everything he did. He poured his heart and soul into everything. I will miss his friendship greatly. My sincere condolences to Anne and Hayley and the rest of his family.

To the memory of Phil brother, brother-in-law and uncle. We have so many wonderful memories of our time spent in Nova Scotia with Phil, Anne & Haley and we came to love this place as much as he did. From our first trip camping and canoeing in Kejimkujik to our most recent, driving through the Annapolis Valley. Phil never lost his love of the wild places, he loved the peace and quiet and his enthusiasm was infectious. Spending time at the Cottage that we all shared together, playing golf, walking the trails and beach, just relaxing and chilling out, it was the best of times. We will miss you so much Phil.

I'll miss Phil greatly - he was taken far, far too soon. He was spirited, funny, exceedingly clever and insightful as a co-worker and friend, and perpetually the fellow in the room with the idea or approach that we all wished we'd thought of! Phil's love and pride in his family were apparent to all, as were his energy and tenacity in the workplace. His "shipmates" at IMP will miss him greatly and he will not soon be forgotten.

My sincerest condolences go out to Phil’s wife, Anne, and his family. Even though Phil was ill for some time, it was very difficult to hear of his passing. I worked with Phil off and on since he joined IMP Aerospace but really didn’t get to know him well until I moved into head up Aircraft Production in 2009. His deep knowledge of his job and the workings of Production made the transition from Engineering much easier for me and I will always remember him fondly for his assistance. His dedication to his job stood out most to me and my respect for him continually left me open to his perspective on what had to happen to get the job done. Even in stressful times, Phil sense of humour did much to lighten the load. My thanks to Phil and all his memorable contributions. It’s sad to say good-bye.

Phil was our fiend and neighbour for the last several years. Most of the time we spent together was while walking our dogs in the field and woods behind our homes. I found Phil to be warm, cheerful and kind. He was in great shape with long strides so I always had a little trouble keeping up with him. He was very easy to spend time with as neither of us were “big talkers”. He will be missed a great deal and we wish Anne and Haley love and peace during this difficult time.

Haley, my thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
I'll never forget the adventure you went on with your dad, portaging through the Tobeatic. No small feat. That experience alone would keep a smile on any dads face for all eternity.
My deepest condolences and so much love for you and your mom at this time.

This is the best photo of your amazing smile. Happiest outdoors and full of life. You made your girls so happy and you made my girl try things she would never have dared to. Just dipping her toes in the lake was because of your encouragement. I have so many memory's of you I feel so lucky to have them. My first trip on a plane was to be with you and Aunty Anne & Haley and it made such an impact on me I fell in love with Canada just like you did. My first camping trip was with You and again I fell in love with being outdoors just like you. There is absolutely no doubt you will be missed every day all I can do is hope your girls find comfort in the memories they have and the life you had together. I know you will be with them Always. You are my hero and you have gone far to soon.
All my love to my Aunty Anne & Haley. Forever in my thoughts x

Anne and Haley, as u both know Phil and I have worked together at IMP for close to 30 years and became very good friends. I always enjoyed his stories of their winter time adventures camping in the woods and would ask him tons of questions about each trip. I couldn’t imagine tenting in the winter time but he loved it. I’m heartbroken and am going to miss him so much. He was a great friend ❤️

Anne and Haley and the at-large Boulter Family, Pat and I extend our sincere condolences.
I first met Phil after my military career was completed and began employment at IMP. We had a good working relationship given that we both competed for the same resources on our respective programs: Phil on the big CP140 Auroras and I on the Canadian and United States Navy Sea Kings. Because I was a newbie to IMP with no civilian aviation experiences, when Phil came back to the airport from the plant in Amherst , he stayed behind after normal working hours and educated me on the infamous Mapper system . He was an absolute wiz at using Mapper and he could generate graphs and charts like nobody's business. Phil taught me how to utilize IMPs various manpower and resource systems to get me up to speed, for that I will be forever grateful.
Apart from the professionalism and Phil's high level of system expertise, I was always interested in hearing him dispense stories about his treks into the Nova Scotia hinterlands. There were many a story passed onto me and countless others while we waited for our scheduled Friday morning manager prayer sessions, and often times he had me in stitches with laughter.
Phil loved Nova Scotia , probably as much as he loved his native England. He was a man of immense perseverance and always had a vision of where and how he wanted to direct his programs. He wasn't one to sit back and see what happens-he went out and took charge .
We will miss you Phil. May you rest in peace now and forever .

Phil was my very first boss at IMP, he hired me on the spot. Over the past 12 years he became more than a boss and a colleague he became a friend and someone I trusted to help guide me. He was always asking how I was doing an if he could help in anyway. He became like a second Dad to me. I had a great deal of respect and admiration for Phil, and for you as well Anne. My deepest condolences to you Anne and Haley, although we never met your Dad always had a sparkle in his eye anytime he would speak of you. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time, and is wish I could give you both a huge hug.
