I had the pleasure of meeting Star while working at the VG and she was an absolutely gorgeous human being. Kind, caring and always with a smile on her face and a laugh on her lips; she will be deeply missed.

i dont know Star, but as a human who has suffered loss, i can emphasize with your pain and loss of such a young person. I know that she must be in the arms of God taking her well deserved rest. I believe that we are called to heaven when our earthly work is done, so Star has now received her angel wings. Remember only the good memories and Star will live among you with those positive thoughts. I send my condolences to all who knew her and hope that the healing process will not be too long. RIP Star

Star will be so dearly missed by so many of us at the hospital. Star was part of our family for so long and we all loved her. Her smile and personality lit any room up. Such a devastating loss for so many. Her family and friends are in my thoughts during this difficult time.

Me and star were living in the same house and room while I was in foster “care” , she made Me call her mom ma Lol. We stayed in contact the whole time except for really bad experience,I didn’t want her to stress out. I’m going to miss her goofy little laugh As well as her roring laugh., I’m going to miss smelling her head when we hugged , she would jokingly tell me ... u know . I made so many promised on the phone and In person but COVID ruined that. Neways there’s no way I’ll ever forget my little person lol thrres still a few things I can do. It’s personal and it’s not going on here. Anyways she was loved n always will be

Nurses always encounter special souls who stay in our hearts no matter where our careers lead us. You, my “Little Star”, were mine. I thought of you often. My heart breaks for the family of Star. I am so very sorry for your loss. You are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Star and my son, Clint, spent a lot of time together in the IWK until Star aged out of the IWK. Star was always smiling, kind, compassionate, and trying to make kidney disease and the hospital easier and less frightening for the younger kids. Star has always had a special place in my heart and she always will.
