Obituary of Emma Elizabeth Hiltz

Hiltz, Emma Elizabeth – 88, of Halifax, formerly of Georgefield, passed away in the QEII Halifax Infirmary September 7, 2020.

Born in 1931 in Georgefield, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Daisy (Bates) Edwards.

Emma was a long-time employee of Look Ho-Ho Restaurant on Bayers Road in Halifax. She loved to travel, cook, and had a great interest in sewing. Emma was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church in Latties Brook. She will be forever missed by family and all who knew her.

Emma is survived by her sister, Deanna Miller; brother, George Edwards; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Hiltz; brothers, William “Bill” Edwards, Ralph Edwards.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A graveside service will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Latties Brook, 3pm Friday, September 11, 2020.
