Obituary of Thelma Lee Hennigar

HENNIGAR, Thelma Lee – age 84, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the QEII Infirmary, Halifax. Born in Noel, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Iva (Hines) Hennigar.

Thelma spent her career as a school teacher. She was an adventurous traveller and even took a trip across Europe by train and into Russia, only stopping to find a place to stay for the night. She will be sadly missed by her friends and family.

Thelma is survived by her brother, Frank; niece, Liz; great nephew, Cameron; furry friend, Milo.

Besides her parents, Thelma was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Etta.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.

A graveside service will be held 2pm, Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in Noel Cemetery, Rev. Martin Reid officiating.

Donations in Thelma’s memory may be made to the Noel and District Volunteer Fire Department or the SPCA.
