Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
BUDD, Michael-age 61 of Stewiacke passed away November 30, 2020 peacefully at home. Born in Scarborough, ON; he was a son of Frederick Budd and Jessie (Timmons) Whalen.
Mike was a man of many golf hats and ugly sweaters. A recent travel enthusiast, he enjoyed spending his leisure time travelling around the U.S. We fondly remember his love of Star Trek and watching Clint Eastwood movies while enjoying peppermint patties and Diet Pepsi. He was excited to have all 5 of his grandchildren home in Nova Scotia. An Electrician by trade, he dabbled in many careers and hobbies over the years. He had a strong work ethic and a mind for numbers and mathematics, a skill he loved to share during homework sessions with his kids. He had a passion for card games, especially Bridge. He was a member of the Shubenacadie Lions Bridge Tournament and played in the league for many years with his partner and stepfather, Wayne Whalen. They took home the coveted trophy 3 times.
Michael is survived by his children, Christi (Brendhan) Budd of Halifax; Deena (Stephen)MacPhee of Tatamagouche; K. Myles Budd of Edmonton, AB; and Mitchell (Alexandria) Budd of Stewiacke.
