Wendy, Daphne, Lynn, and Marridy, our sincere condolences to you and your families. As you know, we enjoyed our 21 years living on the farm in Stewiacke. Your father loved to drop down to see the horses, or to chat and we were happy to have him visit. My fondest memory of him was one Sunday afternoon when I was working to drag the riding ring, hoping to level out the sand for an evening ride. The old percheron, Duke, was hitched to the chain-harrow. It was obvious that the wavy trail left from my efforts did not satisfy George. He took the horse and under his skilled hands he and Duke levelled the entire ring with paths straight as an arrow. It was impressive, especially since it had probably been a few years since he had worked with horses We will remember him fondly.
Unfortunately given current restrictions limiting travel from Halifax, we will not attend the funeral service. However, I will join you virtually and in spirit.
Cathy Smith Horsman and family

Dear Lynn and family,
So sorry to hear that your Dad has passed. I know Mom (and Dad) really enjoyed his company and conversations during their times together at Parkland. Once Covid hit and your Dad moved upstairs Mom really missed seeing him. He was always full of great stories and interesting tidbits of history. He and your Mom led a very interesting life. Take care and stay safe. Our sincere condolences. Patricia Cooke and Edena Joudrey

Sincere condolences to the Robinson Family. George was a good man with a quick wit.( often at my expense.) We were neighbors for many years and I had the privilege of getting to know the whole family. I admired his skill in gardening and the way he took care of his yard. When he moved to his new house on Saint Andrews Street, Evelyn and I would often pass by on our daily walks. We both appreciated the beautiful yard, especially all the flowers. However, we never escaped without one of his humorous barbs. Sometimes we could make a comeback, but most of the time we had to admit we met our match.
Our deepest sympathy,
Eric and Evelyn Weaver
