Obituary of Herbert Royles

ROYLES, Herbert "Herb" - 87, South Maitland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, with family at his side. Born in Maple Grove he was a son of the late Maxwell and Olive (Moore) Royles. Herb was employed with C.P.R (DAR) for over 45 years as foreman of Track Maintenance. He was a member of the Canadian Forrester's Association. He operated a hobby farm, enjoyed playing cards and hunting with friends. Herb especially liked kids and they enjoyed him also. He is survived by son Malcolm, "Mickey" (Lorraine), daughter Wenda "Wendy" (Kevin) White; grandchildren Jeremy (Amanda), Trish (Craig), Melanie (Dayn), Tracy(Paul) and Jody; great grandchildren Braden, Timothy, Jenna, Samantha and Kasson; brothers Freddie (Donna), Maple Grove; sisters Mary Kilby, Surry, BC; Susie Zuick (Gerry), Sask. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth (Hines), two infants Brenda and David and daughter Elaine, great granddaughter Shelby Lynn, brothers Malcolm, Charles and George, sisters Minnie Joy, Myrtle Jolly and Dora Josey. Visitation 6-8pm Friday, November 22, 2013 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Graveside committal service 2pm, Saturday, in St. John The Baptist Anglican Church Cemetery, Latties Brook. Rev. Beverly DeVouge officiating. Family flowers only.
