Bert was my friend. But he was also my brother (they were my second family) The last we spoke he sent me pictures because he wanted people to know I had brothers and a sister who cared about me as much I do them. My heart is truly broken due to his loss. I will always hold him close to my heart. I will never forget. Blessed Be Brother. May you rest and be an Angel for those who still need you.

I knew Bert back in the late 90’s/early 00’s in Truro, and in that brief era, he was a guy who became unforgettable. I met him through skateboarding - he was so good, and I was not. But he loved it and was so welcoming. He taught me some tips and tricks. I remember absolutely having my mind blown by his band La Cosa Nostra back in the 90’s. Truro had never seen such a thing! Bert was a larger than life figure to me in those days and I’m so sorry to hear now of his passing. Such a sad ending to his life but I hope those who were close to him know that he was a guy you don’t soon forget. Rest In Peace Bert.

I knew Bert in his early and mid teen years. He was one of my son Randy's best friend at that time along with Pat Norwich. My condolences go out to Glenn and his family at this sad time. Be strong my friend.

I last seen Bert on the Friday before his death. We embraced and told each other “ I love you”. He was a great man, with a wonderful and kind soul. He was a constant in my teenage years and will always have those memories. May you find peace in your next journey. Give Maeann and your mom and dad a big hug from me. Until we meet again my friend, I will hang onto that last hug.
