Beatte, It's been about two months now since you lost Jim. We offer our sincere condolences. Bruce has many memories of doing things with Jim. Of course you were in those memories. It is hard for us to believe he's gone. Can only imagine how it feels for you. You have many memories with Jim. Cling to them. Our thoughts are with you during this sad time.
Found a picture of the two brothers way back when.

Dearest Beate,
it is very painful to accept the passing of Jim. I knew he was very ill, but I had hope, just like you, that a treatment would be available for him. But there was not, and within a few short weeks he had lost hope and his life.
My heart is broken, and I know the pain and sadness you are going through feels unbearable. You are a strong woman, and I believe with time and prayers you will be able to go forward, and that's what Jim would want for you.
But amongst all the pain and sadness, let's try to remember the good times you had with Jim. I was thinking about many of them.
I remember when your dad and I came to Nova Scotia for the first time, at your wedding. And many more visits followed. Jim and you would take us all across the province. Jim showed us his home town, he took us to Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley, the Cabot Trail. We got to experience the highest tides in the world at the Bay of Fundy. He took us to Halifax to see the Citadel, the beautiful Public Gardens, the impressive harbor. We had the best of times with Jim when he took us clam digging. He did most of the digging. We had clams by the bucket, you would cook them, and we all had a feast, with much fun and laughter.
And Jim never was bothered by all this, he seemed to enjoy it when we had a grand time. I will never forget these times.
Beate, I am thinking of you, am praying for and with you. I wish you peace, and strength to go through this time.
And remember, we may all be together again, some time, some place.
I love you very much,
Mom

Beate,
I'm so glad I got to visit with you and Jim and share some laughs and memories. So sorry I didn't get back before he passed. I was just thinking of you today. He's pain free now and catching up with his friends up there. He surely will be missed.
Love, Jackie

Deepest condolences Beate. Just a short while ago Kevin called and was chatting with you and Jim …he was so happy to chat with you both and had lots of stories of his family and Jim’s a long time ago, he very much wanted to visit with you but was waiting for the “right” time with Covid and all. It didn’t work in his favour but he will treasure their last phone call. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Godspeed Jim.
