As a student at Hants East Rural High School in Milford, I recall teachers remarking about Elizabeth's "photographic memory". We have lost a notable talent. RIP Elizabeth.

I met Liz in our first year of study for our RT. We became good friends and she, Peggy MacD. and I later moved in together. It is hard to believe that was sixty odd years ago. Although our paths separated, we remained in touch for all those years. She was one of a kind, a treasure - she always had a smile and a laugh no matter what was happening in her life.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family and friends. She will be missed by many.

I was very sad to read of Liz’ passing. I worked with her for many years in the Microbiology Laboratory. Liz was a loved and highly-respected colleague at all times . She had also, as you mention, a wonderful sense of humour, which was a real asset and much appreciated by us all. I know how much her family meant to Liz, and how much she will be missed. I send my sincere sympathy and condolences to you all. Vanora Haldane.

Liz and I worked together in the Microbiology Lab in Halifax for so many years - she was such a good friend as well as a valued co-worker. She was one of the "golden girls" and we shared many good times together. Liz always lived for others - her life was totally one of living to make things easier and better for family and friends . Despite all the hardships that were a part of her life , she always had a ready smile and a laugh - she would make light of the heavy burdens she carried.
My sincerest sympathy to all members of her family - you have lost a treasure but I know she will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Liz, you earned that many times over during your entire lifetime.

I am so saddened to hear of Liz passing. I worked with her in Microbiology at the QEIIHSC. She taught me so much and became my "pun" buddy. We liked to share many punny jokes even beyond retirement. Thank the Lord for her surviving lung cancer after surgery 20 years or so ago. I was very fond of Liz a wonderful person. My condolences to the family and all her friends and colleagues. As Liz used to say no matter what happens "Creap smilin!" We'll miss you Liz but never forget you!

As one of the young MLTs in Microbiology Lab at the MacKenzie Building, Halifax, during the mid 1980's, Liz always looked out for us and we developed into knowledgeable microbiology technologists, especially in anaerobic bacteria and the HACEK organisms! Her love of Microbiology inspired me to acquire my ART in Micro and I always think of her. Will always remember Liz's smile, her singing & humming of songs in the Lab where she would insert various organism's names! Liz would always tell us to "Creep on Smiling!" and we did. All levels of persons in the lab respected Liz. Truly wonderful memories. My condolences, Geraldine Cooper Lesins
