Obituary of Margaret Florence Fulton

FULTON, Margaret Florence “Marg” - age 95 of Stewiacke, departed her loving family on September 25th, 2021 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She was born in 1926 to the late George and Hilda (Isenor) Smith in Carroll’s Corner and shares her July 1st birthday with all of Canada.

Marg led a spirited, healthy life - walking every day for over 90 years. She selflessly raised her family with love and devotion, leaving behind beautiful memories.

Margaret is survived by her children, John (Linda), David, Jimmie (Betty), Bonnie (Dwight) Sponagle; grandchildren, Derek, Debbie, Lisa, Karen, Andrew, Troy, Julie, Tyler; many great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruby Tupper, Marion Barr and Avis (Jamie) Densmore.

Besides her parents, Marg was predeceased by her loving husband, Lloyd; son, Gordie; sisters, Edith, Violet, Core, Grace; brothers, Carl, Max “Ike”, Oran and Jim.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No public funeral service will be held at her request, only a private burial for the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in her name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
