Debbie, Connie, Greg and families. Kenny and I were so sorry to hear that "Mr. MacDonald" had passed away. He was a friend and colleague of my father, Gordon Hayes, and Dad always spoke of him as being a very fine man. I came to know Grant better at Berwick United Church Camp where he brought his grand children. Sometimes he would drop by our campsite and play and sing for us. He was such a kind man and treated everyone with respect.

Grant MacDonald was a gentleman, a scholar, an educational leader, who was respected by students, parents, colleagues, his church and his community. He loved his family. He made a difference in education in this province. Grant MacDonald never looked for praise and recognition but earned it in a very quiet way. He will be missed and he will be remembered. Grant (we called him Mr.Macdonald) was my high school principal and we appreciated his calm, sensible approach with a bunch of sometimes rowdy teenagers. As adults we graduated to "Grant" and "Audrey" and mingled in the local Elmsdale network. A lovely man, great dancer ( Nine Mile River dances) and all round community guy. A life well lived, rest in peace. Bertha Etter and Wayne Fiander

Our deepest sympathies to the family. I will forever remember how kind Mr.MacDonald was to share his musical talent by singing at our wedding and at the reception (Father/Daughter dance). He and Mrs.MacDonald were such wonderful friends with my parents (Leo and Jackie Guyette) and Dad will feel Grant's abscence most profoundly I'm sure. He is reunited with his wife and I'm sure they, along with our mother, will be there to welcome Dad "home" when the time comes and the endearing friendship they shared will pick up where it left off here on Earth.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,
