Obituary of Shirley May Hunt

HUNT, Shirley May- age 91 of Middle Musquodoboit. With great sadness we announce the passing of Shirley on July 13, 2022, at her home in Stewiacke. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Evelyn (Boudreau) Flynn.

Shirley was an amazing cook both professionally and at home; she made the best pies. She loved to knit and crochet and was always up for beating her family at a game of Scrabble. Shirley had a huge family and looked forward to spending time with them and especially her great grandchildren who resided with her, Hannah, Chloe and Scarlett. Shirley was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend.

Shirley is survived by her children, James, Gerald (Donna), Micheal, Robert, Lydia (Tom), Cathy (Harry); grandchildren, Jim, Jodi, Jeff, Jon, Melissa, Derek, Matt, Nicole, Michelle, Tina, Kim, Joe, Tanya, Jennifer, Sara, Chris, Brian, Sean, Candice and Stephen; 35 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother, Wally; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Heather and her son, Kevin; granddaughter, Tammy; siblings, Louise, Harold, Bobby and Patsy.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No service by request.
