To Ned & family. I was so sorry to hear of Irma's passing. I remember fondly taking Dad(Ozzie) to visit with both of you whenever we were in Nova Scotia. The many stories of Irma, Helen & Dad from the Macdonald farm when they were all young. Irma lit up any room she was in with her smile. Deepest condolences to all of you.

I was so saddened to hear of Mrs.Preeper’s passing. I remember the years I spent going to Cindy’s , the three types of cookie or squares she would always have in the house! She was a wonderful baker and cook as well as an avid gardener! She always made you feel welcomed. It’s definitely going to be an emptier world without her in it, my heart aches for my friend Cindy and her dad.

Another angel has received its wings. Irma was truly an angel and those who had the great fortunate to know her and be cared for by her would know this personally. She gave selflessly to those she loved and always put others first. She was always truly grateful for the smallest of gifts and acknowledgments. I will always remember her great kindness welcoming me to the house on my first visit and her great thoughtfulness throughout the years. From showing me how to ‘perfect’ a recipe to sew a costume— my memories and learnings from the years are treasured. She was a lady of many talents; expert cook, baker, seamstress, gardener and jack of all trades. She was a resourceful woman who could fix more things than most men. And her greatest love was her family who she spent her entire life working to please and make happy. A selfless soul who will be sadly missed by those who had the great privilege to be part of her life. To her family, I hope your memories comfort you in this time of great loss.

I've known Irma for almost 30 years & from the first day I met her she treated like one of the family. Through the years it wasn't hard to notice that Irma wore many hats, mother, homemaker, gardener & pet sitter to name a few. Irma was great at all these & many more, they all seem to come natural to her. Her flower gardens were impeccable, Irma & Ned always took great pride in there property. If something around there home needed fixed Irma wouldn't hesitate to try & fix or learn how to fix it. Irma would keep her mind sharp with crossword puzzles & cryptoquotes from the paper, which she would read cover to cover. One of her exceptional skills was baking & to me walking into there home to the smell of fresh oven baked bread sitting on the counter cooling off was heavenly & a memory that will be with me for all my years to come. Cindy & I often traveled & Irma would insist on bunny sitting for us over the years with several different bunnies. I recall Irma saying that she has her home bunny proofed & she is awaiting the arrival of her Star Border. It was so nice to see how much happiness looking after our bunnies gave Irma. Irma would pick dandelion leaves, wash them & feed them to the bunnies for treats, could there be a more kinder soul then that. Cindy & I often joked about how our bunnies were having a better vacation then we were. These are just of few of the memories of Irma I wanted to share that made her a special person in my eyes & there are lots more. Weather it was a person, animal or flower Irma treated them all with great compassion. Irma was a great friend to all that were fortunate enough to call Irma their friend. Irma will be greatly missed by all of us. We will never stop thinking of you Irma.

Irma was my best friend since we met during high school days Even though we would settle many miles apart we continued to keep in touch whether it was when I returned periodically returned to Nova Scotia or when we corresponded by mail. Her letters usually contained newspaper clippings about activities of past mutual friends.
I experienced a very deep feeling of sorrow and loss when I heard of her passing but I will love her in my heart for the remainder of my days.

I am in Shock . My sincere sympathy to Ned , Terry and Cindy . Irma will be missed by all who know her . Her family and ours were friends for too many years to count . Irma and my Mom were best friends . Irma loved music , cooing and baking and so much more. She loved helping others , She taught me so much, When I called, Ned would answer and I got his humour , then he would joke how long we chatted on the phones. She always talked about Ned , Terry and Cindy . They were her pride and joy ! Every one who knew her knew what unconditional love was .I have so many fond memories of our times together.

Ned & Family:
My deepest sympathy on hearing of the passing of your dear Irma.
I remember the baked goods that would suddenly appear at the Fire Hall, and those very long weekends of the car show when you and Dave would be preparing the "BBQ'd" chicken.
Irma was a sweetheart to everyone who knew her, and there is no doubt in my mind that a bright new star now shines in Heaven.
Love to you all....

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. The last time I saw Irma she told me things that I didn’t remember! Ha ha She had so much energy, reminded me of a social butterfly that could work a room. I remember Cindy bringing in baked goods from home that Irma had made when we worked nights at the hospital, a fabulous baker ! My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
