Obituary of Theresa Catherine Pettipas

PETTIPAS, Theresa Catherine – We the family of Theresa Catherine Pettipas are broken hearted to announce her passing at her home in Chaswood, on January 20^th, 2023. Mom was born in 1927 in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, to Daniel and Mary (Williams) McNeil.

Theresa was an amazing, hard working and loving mother who would sacrifice anything for her children. She was all about her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sundays were Theresa’s favourite day of the week where she would attend church and then could spend the day surrounded by her family.

Theresa is survived by her three sons, her six daughters, two brothers, eighteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by the love of her life, Vincent Joseph Pettipas, two sons, six of her brothers and her two sisters.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A private graveside service will take place at Preeper Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Donations in memory of Theresa may be made to The Rocking Horse Ranch and Animal Rescue, Baddeck, Cape Breton.
