Obituary of Paul Andrew Densmore

DENSMORE, Paul Andrew, age 78, of Noel Shore, passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 14, 2023. Per his wishes, he passed at home in Noel Shore. In the room he was born in. He was the son of the late Thompson and Wilma Densmore.

For 25 years, he worked for the Municipality of East Hants with many occupations preceding, one of which, he met his wife. In regards of volunteer work, he served as Search Director for the East Hants Ground Search and Rescue for 25 years,  and was the founder of the local game protection. He was also a member of the RCMP Auxiliary for 15 years and served on the Board of Directors for NSFAH for many years.

However, Paul’s most valued accomplishments in life revolved around his family. His loved ones describe him as a family man. If it was a sunny day, Paul loved going for drives with his family, and packing, what he called, a “tailgate lunch”, which was always on a Ford. He always made time to join his grandchildren to celebrate their accomplishments and milestones. If Paul was not home, he could most likely be found in the woods walking with his wife, cutting fire wood, or hunting. Each November, Paul travelled back in the woods with his hunting partners to spend a week at his camp. In the spring, he dedicated a week of fishing at Lake Alma with many loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marion “Betty” Densmore (Marryatt); children, Paul Jr. (Cindy), Calgary; Tim (Darlene), Riversdale; grandchildren, Justin (Deanna), Debert; Deandra (Jamie), Halifax; siblings, Ashley (Joni), Wasaga Beach, ON.; Esther (Tom), Noel Shore; Mabel (George), West St. Andrews; Marsha (Larry), Harmony; and sister-in-law, Elva Hill, West St. Andrews.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by two of his brothers, Elroy and Russell.

Visitation will be held 2 pm until time of Funeral Service 3pm, March 19, 2023 both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. MacDougall preceding. Burial In Noel Cemetery followed by a reception in Noel.
