Wade and I are sending our thoughts and condolences to all of you as you
grieve "Uncle C's" passing. One of my fondest memories will be the sibling bond
that he had with our Mum. I believe, being one of the older children, Mum was,
in many ways, like a second mother to her youngest sibling. Uncle Clarence, in turn, was a
loving, attentive brother to her throughout her life. For his visits and support, I will
always be grateful. I know they had many, many, "Singer chats".

For half my lifetime (I’m 51) I’ve been going on an annual fishing and hunting trip with Clarence, at least 50 trips in total. I was always assured that a few things would happen. He would greet me with a handshake and a hug. Then a conversation about how me and my family were doing would take place. I could also expect him to offer me a Wildcat, put too much wood in the furnace and eventually yell at me to turn the music down. When the trip ended we would always part with the same hug and handshake followed by the expectation to see each other on the next trip. Clarence will be missed on the trips but will never be forgotten.

My Uncle Clarence always had a big hug and “hello sweetie” when I saw him. In my childhood, he’d visit his brother Wilfred and I loved seeing him while I was at my grandparents’ house.
Over the years, Uncle Clarence faithfully stopped in to see my parents (in his childhood home) and was always cheerful, kind and loving. He was one of a kind and will be fondly remembered.
