Obituary of Shirley Rebecca McDonald

McDONALD, Shirley Rebecca -age 39 of Indian Brook, passed away on April 25, 2023 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Sandra (Bernard) McDonald and the late William “Duncan” McDonald.

Shirley was a dedicated mother and loving partner. She always took care of her home and loved children. Shirley loved the holidays and always decorated for every occasion. She loved the peace and serenity of her home. Shirley will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her partner, Stephen Nevin; daughter, Stephanie Rose; mother, Sandra McDonald; siblings, Lena, Tina (Sandy), Samantha, Duncan (Krissy), Billy Roy (Merissa); godchild, John; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by brothers, David McDonald, Dennis Evans, sister, Norma Jean; nephew, Brandon McDonald; niece, Santannah McDonald. Also predeceased by her special aunt, Colleen Knockwood.

Visitation will be held 10am-2pm Friday, April 28^th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2 Shubenacadie, immediately followed by a funeral service at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. Father Jim O'Connor officiating. Cremation to follow.
