Obituary of Harold Calvin Naugle

NAUGLE, Harold Calvin – age 92 passed away peacefully on June 27^th, 2023, at Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit, surrounded by family. Born in Eastern Passage, he was a son of the late Andrew and Madeline (Slaunwhite). 

Harold, or Buddy, as he was affectionately known, held many jobs over the years to provide for his family, but could always be found tinkering in his garage.  He could talk for hours about war history and could hardly wait to show off any new rifle he had acquired. 

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Charlotte “Shirley”; his children David, Robert, June, Anne, Fred, Steven, Sheila, and Allan; 19 grandchildren as well as many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

Besides his parents, Harold is predeceased by brothers Vernon “Dickie” and Allister “Alley”, and children Viola Jean, Terry Ross, and Keith Wayne.  Additional siblings of Harold’s include sisters Sheila, Joan, and Grace. 

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-6pm on Saturday July 8^th, 2023, at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2 Shubenacadie.
