Bordie was our neighbor for many, many decades. There are a few things you could always count on when you saw Bordie, a great chat and a friendly smile. All the neighborhood kids knew where the best halloween treats were at “Bordie’s” and my kids were no exception. He would be their last stop on halloween night - they would have a chat with Bordie but always came away smiling with a full size chocolate bar, can of pop, and a bag of chips. We were blessed to have such a wonderful, kind, gentleman to be our neighbor. You will be missed but never forgotten. So thank you Bordie for all you've done for our community and the Enfield Fire Department. My heartfelt condolences to your family. I am sure you will be greatly missed by them. My deepest condolences to Bordie's family. I had the privilege of getting to know Bordie through my time with the Enfield Fire Department, and I will always remember his kindness and his vast knowledge of firefighting. Being the only woman in the department at the time, Bordie treated me no different than any of the guys, and was always ready and willing to help with anything I wanted to learn. Bordie was a gem, and I hope that your memories of him give you comfort.

I've known Bordie all my life, living in Enfield, and have many great memories; but the ones I associate with him the most are from the firehall. Rarely did you go by without seeing him out and about, with a smile and a wave.
He was very dedicated to our community and a wealth of information on many subjects.
Sending sincere condolences to his immediate family and his fire department family as well.
He will be missed but his light will continue to shine in all those who knew him and the memories shared.
Take care,
Michelle McKeen White

Bordie was our neighbour and a good neighbour for over 40 years. He was kind, considerate and a wealth of information about the history of Enfield. Many friendly chats were had over the years and they are missed. His home was a favourite Halloween visit for our son and daughter as Bordie believed in serving full size to the local kids as well as always having a treat for our dogs.
Our condolences to Bordie’s family.
Doug and Sherry

I remember borrowing his tools to replace the radiator in my car. He was working as a butcher then at the local grocery store. He was a wonderful man. So sorry to hear of his loss.
