When we’re younger I hung out with Marilyn as seasonal campers at Green Valley campgrounds and we also hung around with when she lived off of Herring Cove road. She was very funny and easy to be around as teenagers and have fond memories of that time! Unfortunately we only kept in touch on Facebook over the years! I am sorry to hear of her passing, my condolences to all her family and friends.

Marilyn was a blessing to all her fur babies and their families. She was always smiling, always laughing, always caring for others. I enjoyed our interactions and looked forward to seeing her each visit. We are all blessed for having known her.

Barb again ,and to clarify ,Marilyn worked with me for a few years until we signed a contract to provide a qualified groomer to the Bedford Vet Hospital . And Marilyn got what every groomer works for and wants (if they don't they are crazier than us ) ,She was the boss of her own shop , set her own hours and appointments, took over the existing client's and built a mass of dedicated clients of her own . She worked hard at it and she always seem to work at top speed , (Tire you out just watching her ) And out of all the things Marilyn loved I believe she loved her job the best . Now I am done . Going to miss you forever Baby Bear

Oh boy "what to say " About so many years and memories without writing a book about my relationship with Marilyn , it would not be boring but it would be long . I will try and give you facts as briefly as I can in honor of my Baby Bear . I met Marilyn when she was fresh out of high school when her then boyfriend Chris talked my husband into hiring Marilyn as a dispatcher for his cab co. The office was in our home and although I didn't get to see her much I talked to her a few times and she was very keen and interested in my job. fast forward to I hired her on as a shampoo fluffer ,within a week she asked me to train her as a groomer . She was a natural ,quick learner , loved her job and was a qualified commission groomer by the next year . She was a total joy to work with as she was what every groomer has to be , Kind, gentle ,knowledgeable ,sincerely in love with all animals .And last but not least a little bit crazy . She thanked me many times over the years for giving her the chance to have the "Best Job Ever " And one of the very best has left us . Rest now Baby Bear . Love Momma Bear . Barb Major .

Marilyn was a very special person. She was always on the run, to get to her many appointments, to groom the many furbabies. If she wasn't looking after her business, she would be looking after all the animals she had over the years at her home. I remember one occasion when she was running late for Sophie's appointment. She had with her a box with a baby hummingbird. The bird had hit her window and she was afraid something would get it, so what did she do? She brought it to work with her ( unfortunately the little hummingbird did not make it ). I came to know Marilyn when she and Jimmie were renting a home in Wellington and she had a little space in the lower level to groom dogs. I never looked back when it came to a groomer. Marilyn was a kind, sweet lady and will be missed by many. Fly high with the hummingbirds Marilyn and now you can be free of pain.

Marilyn wasn't very big but she was the strongest and bravest person I have ever met. She never complained about her situation and never once gave up the fight. She loved animals and treated all of mine like her own. She was a good friend and will stay in my heart forever. I will dearly miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you Jimmy and the rest of Marilyn's family.
