Pat and I offer our condolences to Philomena and Family. It was wonderful seeing everyone and Clifford this past summer. It was new thinking to have Clifford’s Celebration of Life, while he was still with us. I am sure others will follow suit. That day will be forever in our memories. Thank you, Philomena and Shirley, for putting it all together.
While Clifford and I didn’t see each other as much as we wanted to, the times together were always full of Love and sharing. We shared things that were happening in each of our lives. Clifford loved to follow our sons Eric and Andrew on social media, to keep up with what was happening.
When we did get together, Clifford always had a lesson, either about Life or about some project I might be involved in. I remember when we bought a boat, he asked, “why didn’t you just build one!?” I laughed, if I had time to build a boat… Clifford was very proud of his shop and his carpentry. He did some lovely pieces that many still enjoy.
I remember when I first met Clifford, Pat and I were newly married, and we drove out to see the east coast and to meet my Brother for the first time. Well, it was like we were never apart, two peas in a pod. It was pretty magical; it was how Life was and still is on the East Coast. Friendly and Welcoming and that was Clifford to a tee.
As Clifford’s little brother, I will miss you Buddy. Love Pat and Paul

Love you grampy! You will forever be greatly missed. I miss our talks even though random never felt like a day missed. We shared so many sweet moments in my teenage days, playing weekend tv bingo on weekends, as well as making wood whistles from our nature walks. You truly showed me what authentic family/love was in my teenage years when I lived with you guys. I am always so proud of the stool I made you that you still had that we talked about. Love you and may you always live on close to my heart. Love your granddaughter.

We would like to send our sincere condolences to Philomena and all the family. Clifford was not only one of my favorite cousins but also one of my best friends, especially during childhood. When I was going to school, I spent many summer vacations at his home in Chezzetcook. My favorite memory was when he and I took an empty can and half a pound of butter from his mother's kitchen, headed to their garden and took 4 nice blue potatoes and headed for the woods. There we lit a fire under the can and cooked the potatoes. Oh, so many stories to tell. Below is a rock I made for Cliff which shows the bond we had together when we were teenagers. RIP my dear cousin and friend.

Clifford was one of my favourite cousins. We were very close as kids and spent a lot of time together. Clifford was a hard worker. I remember when we both worked at 7-up in our teenage years, delivering cases of pop to many stores throughout the Halifax area. Clifford was as strong as a bull and could carry the most cases. We would use the money we earned and go to the Olympic Gardens for the Friday night dances. Cliff did a great job doing signs and drawing cartoon figures like Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny, Marlene, and I especially liked his garden furniture. We still have the rocking chair he made for us, as it sits on our front deck in the summer. Philomena was a wonderful spouse and took such good care of him. Clifford loved her dearly. I'll miss you, Cliff. R.I.P my dear cousin. Love, Gary, and Marlene.

Cliff was the first person we met when we moved around the corner over 16 years ago and he always greeted us with his bright friendly smile each and every time we got to see him no matter how he was feeling. Sadly, covid cut down on the visiting. Rest in Peace our friend. You will be missed by many.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Clifford's, he was a friend and co-worker of mine many years ago, we worked for Seven-up for several years in Halifax, he was my right hand man when we were on our run, a true friend we lost touch with one another over the years but he would give me a call every now an then and always remember me on my Birthday and Christmas. So long my Friend and Pease be with the family. Stan and Dianne Scott
