Obituary of Blaine Aubrey O'Brien

O’BRIEN, Blaine Aubrey – age 74, of West Gore, passed away peacefully on January 20^th 2024, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Windsor he was a son of the late Reginald and Alice (Singer) O’Brien.

Blaine worked for many years as a roller operator with a variety of construction companies.  He was a true animal lover, especially when it came to his cats and his beloved dog, Captain. Horse racing was a big part of his life as well. Blaine had a special bond with children and could always spare time to spend with them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Blaine is survived by his nephews, Mike, Dave and Scott.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by brothers, Fred (Betty) and Willy.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.

The family would like to invite all who knew Blaine for a Celebration of his Life from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, at the Gore District Fire Department, West Gore. Refreshments will be served and memories of Blaine will be shared.

Donations in memory of Blaine may be made to Gore District Volunteer Fire Department.
