Obituary of Millie MacPhee

MACPHEE, Mildred Irene - age 96 of Hardwoodlands, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born April 8th, 1927, in Three Brooks, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late James William and Myrtle Alberta (Ross) Fraser.

Mildred was a long-time resident of Hardwoodlands and an active member of Hardwoodlands Presbyterian Church, Hardwoodlands; She was a life member of the Atlantic Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church, an elder of Hardwoodlands Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Hardwoodlands Womens institute. She always had an open door for those who were in need.

She is survived by sons, Merlyn (Laura), Dundas, ON.; Norman (Sheila), Enfield, NS.; daughter, Lynn (Stephen) Davis, Charlotte, NC.; grandchildren, Grant (Amanda) MacPhee, Kaitlyn (Glenn) MacLean, Jessica Davis and Matthew Davis; great-grandchild, Madilynn MacPhee.

Besides her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband Robert A.; daughter, Sherry; sisters, Annie, Catherine, Jean, Evelyn, Georgie, Jessie, Mary; brothers, Donald, Clyde and Jim.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, from 6-8 pm in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. A funeral service will be held from the same location at 11am Thursday, February 8th, 2024. Rev. Beth Mattinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Hardwoodlands Cemetery Fund or to a charity of choice.
