I met Lauren my first year of university, at the Mount. She at the time was dating a classmate of mine, and clicked with her right away. She was warm, funny, kind and loved Disney! She was so unapologetically herself- and I truly loved that.
I remember one Canada Day I hadn’t seen her in a while, heard someone call my name and it was Lauren! She gave me the biggest hug, and we had a wonderful chat. We stayed in contact mostly online- but she was so wonderful. When my dog passed suddenly last year, she was one of the first to reach out to me. She was compassionate, sincere, loving and kind. We didn’t get to see each other much, but whenever we did message- it was always great catching up!
She will be dearly missed, and I am so thankful for the time I did get to spend with her- and to know her. Knowing Lauren was a gift honestly, genuine hearts are hard to come by.
I hope you’re resting easy Lauren, but your short time on this planet touched the lives of so many- I’ll remember you always.
