When I was about 11 or 12 years old, we were driving down the street in London Ontario. I leaned over the front bench seat in our car and asked my Dad to tell me the truth.
I said every time I ask Mom if there is a Santa Claus, she tells me that if I believe then there is a Santa Claus, if I don't believe then there is no Santa Claus.
He paused for a minute and then he said "Well Sheryl when I was getting married, your Grandfather pulled me aside and said to me Well Perley, since you are getting married, I think there is something you should know...There is no Santa Claus!"

Kaye & family, I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I worked with him in Shearwater as well as Halifax. Jack was one of the good guys, never had a bad word for anyone and a great sense of humour. He will be missed by many and the world will certainly be worse off for his passing. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Our heartfelt condolences to ‘Jack’s’ family. We were certainly fortunate to have Jack belong to our Milford and District Lions Club. Many stories and laughs were shared when he was in attendance or helping with kitchen duties at our dinners and big breakfasts. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly. Remember that memories help with the healing ….

So sorry to learn of the passing of Jack. Jack was the senior military police Sgt at CFB Shearwater when I arrived there in 1984, just prior to his retirement. While I did not get to know him as well as others, he always showed a great deal of professionalism and integrity when dealing with everyone. My sincere condolences to his family. For Jack: Godspeed on your next journey. Thanks for setting the bar high.
