So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Jim will be greatly missed by his patients at Cobequid and everyone who knew him. It was great getting to know both of you over the past few years. We are so sorry that we were away and unable to attend the service. Pam, I hope you and the family take strength from the positive impact you and Jim have had on so many people over the years

Pam, and family,
We are devastated to hear the news of Jim's passing. We had no idea that he was ill.
Pam, I cannot imagine what you are feeling. I know it was wonderful to witness how much you both adored one another. It was evident by the conversations we had, the laughter you shared and the way you would glance at one another. Please accept our deepest condolences from our entire family.
We were fortunate to know Jim for over 32 yrs, from when Cobequid Pharmacy first opened down on Memory Lane. Jim was more than a pharmacist to us. He was a confidante, and we shared many chats, memories, tears, and laughter over the years. After our visits to the pharmacy to pick up our prescriptions and share our latest news regarding our respective families, we'd share those stories at suppertime with the rest of our family. Jim and Pam became part of our family.
Stephen loved talking with Jim about his career with the Royal Canadian Navy and was thrilled to learn that Jim knew the Commanding Officer, Lenny Edmunds, and his wife, Heather, who were friends of ours. Steve & Jim would share their stories of Lenny from school days, and escapades on ship deployments. It was a connection that strengthened the bond between them. (Lenny & Heather were shocked when we shared the sad news of Jim passing.)
Jim was someone who was so animated with his stories, his laughter was infectious, and he had that sparkle in his eyes. We always enjoyed every encounter with Jim (& Pam). We always felt heard, like he (they) really cared about us and what was happening in our lives. We felt special getting your care packages for Christmas, and we felt that Jim was someone who made our lives brighter having known him.
Stephen wanted to go to the funeral to support the family and you, Pam. Unfortunately, Stephen's step-Dad died on Tues (25 Jun 2024). He has power of attorney, and is Executor of the will, so the family will be heading to Ontario for several weeks.
Please know that we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Sending big hugs to you from the entire Cobean Clan.
Much love and friendship,
Janice, Stephen, Samantha & Katrina Cobean (The Cobean Clan)

Dear Pam:
I’m so, so sad to learn of Jim’s passing. As you well know, he was my pharmacist for over twenty-five years. I had so much faith in him. His knowledge was undeniable and his social skills unbeatable. We had so many great talks through the years. I missed you both when Jim sold the pharmacy. My thoughts are with you during this painful time.
God bless.

Dear Pam,
I was shocked and sad to hear of Jim's passing. Sending sincere condolences to you, your family and the Hutchinson siblings.
I have so many fond memories of your family through our children growing up together in Enfield; School, Guiding, Sports and other social events. But I especially remember Jim and his association with the Enfield Fire Department and serving our community. You two were always together, in whatever was happening, and there will be a huge void in your family now.
But I believe his spirit and light will continue to shine in you and your children and their families, and I hope that will bring some comfort to you all in the sad days ahead.
Take Care and God Bless you all,
Michelle, Peter, Jodi, Trevor & Ian

I have a rich treasury of Jim and Lenny stories from Dartmouth High, Dalhousie University and when he first met and married Pam and of course wonderful times with his brothers Brian and Rick. His Dad and Mom were like my second family while I was growing up. He was one in a million and will be sorely missed. Pam, Jim was a keeper and I hope your wonderful memories together will give some comfort and carry you through in these early days. It was a privilege to have had Jim and his family as friends.
Yours Aye
Lenny Edmunds

Pam and family: I am so sorry for the loss of a wonderful husband, father and human. I remember my dad calling on Shoppers Drug Mart in New Glasgow when he worked for Proctor and Gamble and he always had an immense fondness for Jim and never forgot him. Many years were spent at the hockey rink with Jim and Pam and the never ending pie sales. These are great memories. As time passes, these wonderful memories will bring a smile to your faces. sending sincere condolences knowing your faith will get you through this.

To say I am heartbroken would be an understatement. Jimbo (as I called him) was one of the most amazing human beings to ever have come into my life. Working alongside him every day for 5 years (in the attached doctors office) was a true blessing. Every day greeted with that smile and a hug always started my day off great. Jim was soooo loved by many. Pam, my heart aches for you but I know how in love you two were and that you were always by his side ♥️. Brieanna, Kristen, and Brock, Jim was so proud of you and I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I will always have a special place in my heart for my Jimbo. He will be so missed. Love to you all ♥️
