Obituary of Audrey McMullin

McMULLIN, Audrey – age 85 of Dutch Settlement, passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 9^th, 2024, in Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. Born in Isle Aux Morts, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Alma (Walters) Billard.

Audrey worked for the Nova Scotia Hospital for many years. She enjoyed knitting, baking and keeping her kids in line. She was an active Lioness member. Audrey loved her bingo. She was a very caring and loving individual and was very social. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Audrey very much looked forward to getting together with her family and cherished their time together.

Audrey is survived by her children, Glendon (Sybil), and Geoffrey; grandchildren, Josh (Sarah), Jenna, Keely and Austin; great grandchildren, Evan, Emily and Jacob; sister, Evelyn; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Garnet; daughter, Arlene; sister, Vera Mae; brother, Clyde; brothers-in-law, Ben Seymour and Benny Wells.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes Shubenacadie and Elmsdale. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Donations in Audrey’s memory may be made to the Milford Lions Club or to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the palliative care unit at Dartmouth General Hospital.
