Please share a memory of Marven to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Isenor, Marven Allan- age 65, Lantz It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. He passed away peacefully at the QE11 Health Sciences Centre on March 12th, 2015, with his family by his side. Born in Lantz on September 23rd, 1949, he was the eldest son of Diddy and the late Currie Isenor. Marven grew up in East Hants where he was involved in recreational ball and hockey and made many lifelong friends and memories. Later on in his life he loved supporting his children at the rink, at the ball field and on the stage. He took great pride in his children and their accomplishments. Marven enjoyed driving his truck for Basin Contracting and the many friends with whom he worked. Marven lived life to the fullest and understood that the simple things in life are also the most extraordinary. He loved summers around the pool with his children, evening BBQs, entertaining his grandchildren during Sunday suppers and spending time with his loving wife. He was a kind and gentle soul who always saw the best in others. His sense of humor and generous spirit made him a friend to everyone he met. We felt privileged to spend every day with him as part of his life's journey. Marven is survived by his wife, Sonja; daughters, Robin (Brian) Cantfell and Raylee (Wayne) Tingley; his son, Dawson (Melanie Richard); mother, Diddy (Ashley) Isenor; grandchildren, Quinn, Brogan, Finley, and he was excited about the upcoming arrival of his 4th grandchild. He was also survived by brothers, Hugh (Margaret) and Michael (Connie) and sister, Kim. Marven was loved by a large, close extended family that included many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Currie. We would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Intensive and Intermediate Care Units at the QE11 Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.
