Obituary of Richard Harrison Keyes

KEYES, Richard Harrison “Ritchie” – 85, Lantz, passed away peacefully June 1, 2015 at home. Born in Lantz, he was a son of the late Harris and Reta (Isenor) Keyes. He was employed at Shaw Pipe Plant for 18 years. He briefly worked as a carpenter in Halifax. He then retired after 24 years driving a school bus. He enjoyed fishing with the guys and his road trips to Cape Breton. He enjoyed the family pets. Ritchie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his wife Doreen, daughter, Sherry (Andy) Isenor, Dutch Settlement; grandchildren, Jason Isenor, Dutch Settlement; and Tara Isenor (Gino Martin), Hammonds Plains; brother, Fred (Hazel) Keyes, Lantz; sister, Jean Ashley, Lantz. He was predeceased by sister, Helen Stevens, brothers, Lexie Keyes, Ron Keyes. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11am, Thursday at St. George’s Cemetery, Dutch Settlement, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. Reception to follow in the church basement.
