Dear Clare and all, So sorry I could not make it on Saturday. I have heard all about the celebrating of Tom's life from John and our Sisters who were able to join you. It was such a joy to have known him. My connection has been when he came to Halifax even though I have Boston and Irish roots. I met him first with Sisters Ruth and Marian. We are saddened to learn of Tom's passing. So late in life we learned of our family connection only because of Tom's efforts, diligent searches and his passion for discovering the history of his family tree. We were delighted to be contacted by Tom and to subsequently have the privilege to meet both he and Claire to learn of our family connection. God bless Tom and rest in peace. Jim, Cathy and Family.

Tom, what a privilege it was to have met you and enjoyed your summer visits to Shubenacadie and to the bakery. I will miss the annual visit, the smiles, the peaceful presence, and lovely chats. I shall choose a special place in the bakery gardens and dedicate it to reflection in your name, so that I, and others can remember you with love. I am so glad you have chosen Maitland and Nova Scotia as your final resting place. I will be able to visit.

It's been about a year now since Tom had contacted us after we started digging into our family tree. A few phone calls and a few letters later and it was like we were always family, only thing was we never got to meet Tom. Tom's great grandmother and my great grandmother were sisters what a very small world we live in. Rest in Peace Tom go with the grace of god.
