Obituary of Robert Charles Comeau
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Comeau, Robert Charles “Bob”- 57, of Stewiacke, Colchester County. 23 Oct. 1957 – 26 Sept 2015. It is with the most heartfelt and deepest sorrow that we report the sudden death of our beloved Robert Charles “Bob” Comeau of a massive heart attack at Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital on Saturday, 26 September 2015. Born in Digby, he was the only son of Joseph Wilfred and Rita Victoria (Thibault) Comeau. Bob was employed at Tandus Centiva in Truro (formerly Crossley Carpet Mills) for the past 20 years, was devoted to his job of senior programmer/analyst, and loved solving problems. Bob was an absolutely wonderful man, just fantastic, he was our rock, he was the go-to guy for anything that went wrong with the house, computers, appliances, machines, cars, etc., and could always be counted on to do anything asked of him with no complaint. Bob was a peaceful guy who loved his family above all else. He enjoyed challenges like learning the features of his new cell phone; enjoyed comedies, game shows, and entering contests. He always wanted to see Cape Breton and he and his wife went on many tours of it this summer, taking breathtakingly beautiful photos and bringing back unusual rocks for her collection.
Bob is survived by his first and only love, Sherry-Anne (Robinson) Comeau of Stewiacke, married 14 May 1977; their only daughter, Victoria Anne Misener and her sons, Alexander James Corning and Wade Joshua Higgins, son-in-law, William Jason Misener and his daughter, Mikaila Marie Auffrey of Stewiacke; their only son, Christopher Robert Comeau and his wife, Eryn Alicia (Link) of Calgary: they are expecting their first child in December. Bob is survived by sisters, Marlene (Brian) Roberts of Kensington, PEI and their daughters, Teresa (Gerald) Peters and Leslie (Nicki) Campbell; Yvonne (Patrick) Monk of Enfield, and their children, Patrick (Tanya) Monk and Christina (Alex) Richard; cousin, Debra (James) Fleet and their son, Cory (Shana) Fleet. Bob is also survived by mother-in-law, Anne Marie Cottreau and her husband, John “Chummy” Cottreau; sisters-in-law, Wendy (Dale) Orr and her daughter, Amanda Cottreau; Peggy Robinson (Donald Cleaves) and their daughter, Rachel Cleaves; Cindy Robinson (Thomas Bragard) and her sons, Todd Schnare and Jeremy Grant; Mary Robinson (Timothy Adams) and her son, Gary Robinson and their daughter, Vanessa Adams; brother-in-law, Shawn (Sandra) Robinson; many great nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents; sister, Patricia “Patsy” Topping, her husband, Jack Topping, and their grandson, Cody Fleet; father-in-law, Wendell Robinson; step father-in-law, Ronald Wilson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A Graveside Service will be held for immediate family only at Holy Trinity Anglican Church cemetery, Fort Ellis, Colchester County. If you wish to do so, you could give a living plant or other gift in Bob’s memory to a lonely senior in your area.
Bob will be forever missed and lovingly remembered always. Gone much too soon.
