Obituary of Kelsey Lauren Lee Marr

MARR, Kelsey - 25, Indian Brook, NS, passed away suddenly on October 4 in Halifax. She was the daughter of Denise Marr and Steven Toney of Indian Brook. Kelsey had a loving heart and big smile for those she met. She also had a great love and passion for sports, especially hockey. She was a talented and skilled hockey player. Her passion for the game and being a team player shone through in the many games and tournaments she played throughout Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick. Besides her parents, Kelsey is survived by her daughter, Natalli, Greenwood; her brothers Ayden Marr, Indian Brook; and Zachary Toney, Greenwood; and sister, Allison Toney, Greenwood; paternal grandfather Vincent Toney, Indian Brook. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her aunts, Lyn Toney-Sack Indian Brook; Eileen Marr, Indian Brook; godmother/aunt, Vera Marr, Indian Brook, and her godfather/uncle, Owen Marr, Indian Brook; uncles, Paul, Ross, Pat, Owen, Greg, Vincent Toney and Joey Syliboy, all of Indian Brook. Kelsey was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Clarence and Patricia Marr, and paternal grandmother, Althea “Jane” Howe. Visitation will be held at the family residence of 111 Sesame St., Indian Brook, NS beginning Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. until the funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at St. Kateri Parish, Indian Brook, Father Tom Kurudeepan O.M.I. officiating. Interment will be at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Indian Brook. A salite and reception will follow at the community hall.
